 edEd Theriault, CEO 

Ed founded TLA in 1990 providing consultation, design and construction management  to a wide range of markets throughout New England.  He is viewed as an expert on the technical requirements of ADA-90 and has provided related consulting services to a variety of clients in that vein.

Ed’s most recent project is the development of 118 Congress Street, a High End Condominium Building at the top of Munjoy Hill in Portland, where he also sits as a Board Member.

Ed spends free time in his vegetable garden and at his camp on Lake Kennebago in Rangeley where he enjoys the excellent fly fishing.

jimJim Durgin, President

Jim has over 20 years experience in the financial industry focusing on branch automation, physical security, sales and project management. He has worked with Financial Institutions throughout New England.

Jim lives in the Sebago Lake region with his wife, loves snowmobiling and while his kids are grown you can still find him cheering his daughter on the sidelines at her long distance running races.  Jim and his wife have recently added a new member to the family, a rescue dog named Gracie.

lauraLaura Zoulamis, Director of Design

Laura brings over 20 years experience and thought leadership with commercial interior projects ranging in size from 3,000sq ft to 100,000 sq ft.  Laura believes in designing environments holistically, designing environments that empower people, work, wellness and performance. She is fascinated by how design and the built environment directly impact user experiences and believes that design can positively  impact the way people work and live.

Laura believes that building strong client relationships is paramount and is key to developing intelligent solutions.  She has extensive experience in programming, concept development, budget analysis, space planning, design implementation and the integration of furniture, accessories, art, finishes and materials. Laura enjoys traveling, gardening, yoga and exploring the Maine Coast with her Husband, 2 boys and Dog, Bowie.

melMelanie Scamman, Interior Designer

Mel  brings over 10 years of professional experience in commercial interior projects.  She has spent much of the past 8 years working on corporate office design projects throughout  Australasia and most recently in New England.  Mel lives in Scarborough with her Husband and 2 boys.  They love to travel, swim in their family pond and are passionate about raising funds for Relay For Life.

lindseyLindsay Carr, Interior Designer

Lindsay graduated from Endicott College with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and a concentration in Sustainability. In her experience at TLA she has been involved in a variety of aspects on all design projects, with a particular focus on 3D renderings and modeling.  Lindsay and her husband live in Portland and at home are loving life with their 1 year old daughter.

ed-2Ed Schencks, Office Manager

A retired business teacher, Ed gained his back ground merit in business from teaching at Allagash High School, Washington County Vocational Technical Institute and Sacopee Valley High School.  Ed spends his spare time golfing, sharing life with Hilda and taking anniversary trips on The Downeaster to Boston. They also have fun with their American Eskimo Dog, Snowy.

ycfcuJoseph DiDonato, R.A., Architect Consultant

Joe has over 34 years of design and project management experience serving clients in the public and private sectors.  He has experience in all aspects of architectural design including commercial and residential projects and has been an AIA member since 2004. Joe lives in Kennebunk with his wife and loves to spend time with his grandchildren on Sebago Lake and traveling to Italy.
